Domain Authority(DA) is a search engine ranking score created by MOZ to understand the performance of the website and it ranges from a score of 1 to 100.
Domain Authority is calculated by the number of backlinks to root domain, high-quality inbound backlinks and total links to the website.
Recently Moz announced they are going to launch new Domain Authority 2.0 on March 5, 2019.

Let’s look at the changes in new Domain Authority 2.0
1. The training set

2. The training algorithm
Rather than relying on a complex linear model, Moz switched to the neural network. This provides many benefits, including a more nuanced model that detects link manipulation.

Moz improved well on the ranking factors behind the Domain Authority. In addition to looking at link counts, Moz can now integrate their proprietary spam score and complex distribution of links based on quality and traffic, along with other factors.

These fundamental improvements to the Domain Authority provide a better, more reliable metric. Now Moz will remove spam, improve correlations, and most importantly, Moz updated Domain Authority relative to all the changes that Google makes.
